Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technologist to join our client in Tembisa. This role bridges design concepts and construction reality, ensuring that architectural plans are technically sound, buildable, and meet quality standards.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to translate complex designs into detailed construction documentation, performing site visits, and supporting tender and contract administration in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and CAD/BIM software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods and materials.
• Experience in site supervision and quality control.
• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using BIM software.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate services into the architectural design.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Manage and review shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the construction phase.
