MSP Staffing (PTY) LTD is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to lead the technical execution of complex architectural projects in Cape Town. You will translate design concepts into precise, compliant documentation and coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and authorities.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years' experience, strong Revit skills, BIM workflow expertise, and a proven track record across design development to construction phases.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology as required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to produce and manage technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate architectural and technical drawings using Revit.
• Lead and manage the technical documentation process across project phases.
• Coordinate technical input between multidisciplinary project teams.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and municipal authorities.
• Ensure documentation complies with applicable building regulations, codes, and standards.
• Evaluate materials and construction methodologies to develop effective technical solutions.
• Support project planning, costing, coordination, and documentation delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.

Requirements:

• National Diploma or BTech in Architectural Technology.
• Minimum 8 years' experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in producing and managing technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methodologies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience dealing with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Proven involvement in complex projects from design development through to construction.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant technical coordination tools.
• Strong understanding of technical detailing, documentation standards, BIM workflows, and digital modelling.
• Experience with façade design, sustainability certifications such as Green Star, or 3D modelling would be advantageous.
