Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Architectural Technician for Upington to produce detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents for diverse projects.

You will develop 3D models and collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure code-compliant, buildable solutions, while supporting tender and construction administration activities. Hybrid work offers office and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technician.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant architectural software.
• Strong technical knowledge of building construction methods and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, suitable for a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed architectural drawings, construction documents, and technical specifications.
• Produce 3D models and visualizations to support design development and client presentations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, regulations, and project requirements.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Assist in the preparation of tender and construction administration documentation.
