Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Draughtsperson for a role in Soweto. You will produce buildable construction drawings and comprehensive documentation, working closely with architects and project managers to ensure design intent is translated into accurate plans that meet SA regulations.

The position requires 8+ years in a senior drafting role, advanced AutoCAD skills, strong Revit understanding, and excellent drawing capabilities.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience as an Architectural Draughtsperson, in a senior capacity.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and solid understanding of Revit.
• Comprehensive knowledge of South African building regulations and construction practices.
• Excellent technical drawing skills and spatial reasoning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce construction drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) using CAD software.
• Develop and manage detailed technical documentation, specifications, and schedules.
• Ensure drawings comply with building codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical queries and maintain design intent.

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Draughtsperson to join their team in Soweto . In this role, you will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate technical drawings and documentation for a range of architectural projects. You will work closely with architects and project managers, ensuring that all designs are translated into buildable plans that meet regulatory standards and client specifications. This is a key position within the design team, contributing significantly to the successful execution of projects in the Gauteng region. Key Responsibilities
