Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Architectural Drafter for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will produce detailed construction drawings, manage BIM models, and coordinate with consultants to deliver constructible plans in line with design intents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural construction drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using Revit and AutoCAD.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Drafter for a fully remote position, contributing to projects across South Africa . This role focuses on the meticulous production of technical drawings and documentation required for architectural projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent. You will work closely with architects and designers, leveraging your technical drafting expertise to transform concepts into constructible plans. The ideal candidate is highly proficient with CAD and BIM software and possesses a keen eye for detail, essential for delivering high-quality technical packages in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural construction drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop and manage BIM models , ensuring data integrity and coordination across disciplines.
• Prepare detailed schedules for materials, finishes, and components as per project specifications.
• Coordinate drawings with other consultants (structural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure seamless integration.
• Review and implement revisions based on feedback from architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Ensure all drafting work complies with relevant industry standards and building codes.

Requirements

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or Drafting.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in architectural drafting, with a focus on technical documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, building materials, and South African building regulations.
• Excellent spatial reasoning and meticulous attention to detail in all drafted work.
