The successful candidate will have a professional architecture degree, SACAP registration, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• A professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
• SACAP professional registration is mandatory.
• At least 8 years post-qualification experience in architectural design and project management.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience leading design teams and managing complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of SA building codes and planning policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and development of innovative architectural designs, aligned with client briefs.
• Manage and mentor junior architectural staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop architectural drawings, specifications and documentation using CAD/BIM.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Prepare and present design proposals, reports and presentations to clients and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
• Professional registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in architectural design and project management.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated experience in leading design teams and managing complex architectural projects.
• In-depth knowledge of South African building codes, regulations, and planning policies.
• Proven track record in sustainable design and green building certifications (e.g., LEED, Green Star SA).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in client liaison and stakeholder management is essential.
