Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function within the Finance team. You will manage day-to-day processes for Trade and Non-Trade creditors, ensure accurate payments, strong controls and supplier relationships, and drive process improvements through people and systems.

The role is hands-on and senior, with accountability for performance and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 5–8 years' experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, or Accounting.
• Solid practical accounting expertise and advanced SAP Accounts Payable experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounts Payable function across Trade and Non-Trade Creditors with clear priorities and accountability.
• Manage day-to-day AP operations, reconciliations, queries and payments.
• Develop and coach supervisors and team leaders; drive performance and succession planning.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure timely, accurate payments and control compliance.
• Oversee system, data and process improvements in SAP and AP workflows.
• Monitor backlogs, escalations and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate writebacks, adjustments and audit trails; support audits and remediation.
