Placements24 seeks a Senior Airworthiness Inspector for a key regulatory body in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The role focuses on ensuring airworthiness compliance, conducting inspections, audits, and investigations of aircraft, maintenance organizations, and facilities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in aerospace/ mechanical engineering, 8+ years in aviation, and an AME license or equivalent. Deep regulatory knowledge (SACAA, EASA, FAA) and strong analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 8+ years of aviation maintenance, engineering or regulatory oversight experience.
• AME license or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, audits and investigations of aircraft and maintenance facilities.
• Assess conformity to airworthiness standards and design data.
• Review maintenance records, technical data and modifications.
• Monitor Safety Management Systems within certified organizations.
• Provide guidance on airworthiness regulations to stakeholders.
• Prepare inspection reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Participate in development and revision of airworthiness standards and procedures.
• Liaise with national and international aviation authorities on airworthiness matters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aircraft technology and regulations.
