Job summary

Placements24 in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga seeks an Aircraft Systems Integration Engineer to lead the seamless integration of avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and environmental control systems into aircraft platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or related field is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering and integration.
• Demonstrated experience integrating avionics, electrical, hydraulic or environmental control systems.
• Strong grasp of system architecture design, requirements management, and interfaces.
• Proficient in system modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and certification processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills; strong communication.
• Willing to relocate to Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and architectures for integrated aircraft systems.
• Manage system interfaces and ensure compatibility between subsystems.
• Develop and execute integration plans, test procedures and validation strategies.
• Perform system modeling and simulation to predict performance and issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges during development and testing.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Coordinate with certification authorities for compliance with aviation regulations.
• Prepare technical documentation including integration reports and test results.
• Support production and MRO with integration-related queries.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in aircraft systems integration.
