Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Quality Control Inspector for an aviation MRO in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will inspect aircraft, components and documentation to ensure compliance with approved data, manuals and regulatory standards.

The role requires at least 5 years in aircraft maintenance with 3+ years in QA, SA-CAT Part 66 licensure, and strong knowledge of SA-CAA/AS9100. You will lead audits and CAPA, contributing to safety and reliability in operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in aircraft maintenance with at least 3 years in a Quality Control/QA role within aviation.
• Strong knowledge of SA-CAA, EASA, FAA regulations and AS9100 quality systems.
• Proven experience inspecting aircraft, components and maintenance documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of aircraft structures, systems and components during maintenance.
• Verify maintenance activities comply with approved data, manuals and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve work orders and maintenance logs for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with SA-CAA and other aviation authorities.
• Perform audits of workshops, hangars and tooling to ensure quality standards.
• Identify non-conformities, investigate root causes and implement CAPA.
• Witness critical maintenance tasks and testing procedures to ensure proper execution.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and corrective actions.
• Stay updated on changes in aviation regulations and industry best practices.
• Promote a strong safety and quality culture throughout the organization.
