Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their esteemed aviation team based in Pietermaritzburg . Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various aircraft systems, including airframe, engine, and avionics.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve complex technical issues with accuracy and efficiency.
• Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and service bulletins to ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs meticulously in the aircraft logbooks and maintenance records.
• Supervise and guide junior technicians, providing technical expertise and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician .
• Proven expertise in maintaining a specific aircraft type or a broad range of commercial or general aviation aircraft.
• Valid aviation maintenance license or certification recognized by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints .
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety procedures, and quality control standards.
