Bay Recruit is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor in South Africa for a demanding role overseeing cargo security operations.

The position requires PSIRA registration, Grade A/12, and at least 5 years of supervisory experience, with training in air cargo security and DGD procedures. A valid driver's license, computer literacy, and strong communication skills are essential for effective field leadership.

Qualifications

• PSIRA registration is required.
• Grade A and Grade 12 are mandatory.
• Air Cargo Security Training and Cat 6 DGD Training are advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of security supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license and computer literacy are required.
• Security Management Diploma or studying towards one is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security staff, duty rosters and post coverage.
• Manage inductions, vetting, screenings and polygraph bookings.
• Conduct and oversee security searches and investigations.
• Maintain security records and assist with incident investigations.
• Oversee cargo security and shipment movements.
• Ensure security compliance and required documentation.
• Assist with security training and evaluations.
• Control keys for critical areas and liaise with operations.
• Support after-hours call-outs when required.
