About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Agronomist to lead their agronomic research and development initiatives in Sandton, Gauteng . This pivotal role involves providing advanced expertise in soil science, crop physiology, and sustainable agricultural practices to optimize crop production and drive innovation. You will work closely with farm managers, researchers, and sales teams to develop and implement cutting-edge agronomic strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of agricultural sciences and a proven ability to translate research into practical, profitable solutions for clients in the Sandton area and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct agronomic research projects focused on crop performance, soil health, and environmental sustainability.
• Develop and refine best practices for crop cultivation, fertilization, pest management, and irrigation.
• Analyze complex soil, plant, and environmental data to provide strategic recommendations to farm operations.
• Mentor junior agronomists and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.

Requirements
