Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Agricultural Data Analyst to join a remote-ready team focused on driving efficiency and sustainability in modern farming through data-driven decisions. You will interpret complex agricultural data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization.

The role requires 5+ years in data analysis with a strong agro-data focus, proficiency in Python/R/SQL, and experience creating predictive models and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field (Data Science, Agricultural Science, Statistics)
• At least 5 years of data analysis experience in agriculture
• Proficient with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib), R, SQL
• Experience building/deploying ML models for agricultural apps
• Strong remote collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze large agricultural datasets (crop yields, soil, weather, livestock) using advanced statistics
• Develop predictive models for forecasting and risk identification
• Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders; translate findings clearly
• Collaborate remotely with agronomists, farm managers and researchers
• Ensure data quality and integrity across datasets
• Keep up with advances in agri-tech and analytics tools
