The candidate should have a B.Sc/B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years in heavy engineering, strong vibration and welding knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office. Excellent interpersonal skills and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifikationen

• B.Sc or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in fan performance testing and vibration troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of vibration and welding.
• 10 years in a heavy engineering workshop.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide support to Service, Spares and Manufacturing departments.
• Carry out engineering tasks and investigations to support aftermarket.
• Lead major investigations and projects from an engineering perspective.
• Undertake new equipment selections and designs to meet user specifications.
• Assess the condition of existing equipment and prepare repair procedures and reports.
• Check and approve designs, repair procedures, drawings and other tasks to ensure accuracy.
• Provide engineering solutions to internal and external clients.
• Develop relationships to promote the Howden product range and enhancements to equipment.
• Mentor and monitor progress of junior engineers and allocate workload.
• Provide power plant process knowledge applied to the product range to ensure proper operation.
• Develop and revise Engineering Department documentation to stay current.
