Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Stellenbosch to optimize production processes and drive efficiency across manufacturing lines. You will analyze current processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement lean methods to improve quality and reduce costs.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering background, with 4+ years of experience, and hands-on SPC/data analysis expertise to support continuous improvement in a high-tech manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Strong knowledge of SPC and data analysis.
• Experience with process simulation and optimization software.
• Hands-on, proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in efficiency and quality.
• Develop, implement, and optimize new manufacturing processes and production lines.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) to streamline operations and reduce waste.
• Implement and monitor statistical process control (SPC) to ensure consistent product quality.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless process integration.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
