Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants in Hoedspruit, Limpopo, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage monthly financial procedures, reconciliations, and management reporting to support the finance function.

You will prepare journals, handle payroll and wage reconciliations, support audit preparation, and provide financial analysis for business decisions. Requires a degree in Finance or Accounting, completed articles, 3–5 years' accounting experience, VAT expertise, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Completed accounting articles.
• Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and VAT reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Payroll and wage reconciliation experience advantageous.
• Experience within the agricultural or farming industry advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial procedures, reconciliations, and management reporting to support the finance function.
• Prepare journals, supporting schedules, and ensure accurate financial records and compliance.
• Perform payroll, wage, creditor, COD, and petty cash reconciliations.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide financial analysis to support business decision‑making.
• Provide financial and administrative support to the Financial Manager and ensure the smooth running of daily accounting operations.
