About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join their team in Polokwane . This role is integral to the accurate recording and reporting of the company's financial activities. You will be responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Support the annual audit process by preparing required schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
