Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CA(SA) or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with focus on financial reporting.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle or Sage Intacct and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in wine or agriculture industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting cycle including AP, AR, payroll, and GL.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per IFRS.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and policies.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts.
• Support audits with documentation and explanations.
• Identify improvements to accounting processes and controls.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
• Mentor junior accounting staff.
