• BCom Accounting Degree or equivalent qualification


• Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles


• Minimum of 6 years' post-articles accounting experience


• Strong understanding of IFRS and South African tax legislation


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports


• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances


• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records


• Assist with preparation of annual financial statements

General Ledger & Month-End Processes

• Manage the general ledger and maintain accounting integrity


• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes


• Process and review journals, accruals, and provisions


• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and submit VAT calculations and reconciliations


• Support income tax and provisional tax calculations

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management


• Prepare cash flow forecasts and reports


• Review banking transactions and reconciliations

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes


• Analyse financial results against budgets and forecasts


• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management

Audit & Internal Controls

• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements


• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies
