Job summary

Apex Group in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Business Services client. You will manage monthly and quarterly management accounts, consolidate group entities, ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, and partner with the Senior Manager to deliver accurate financial reporting.

You will own key accounting processes, address client queries, and help drive process improvements while working with cross-border teams on an expanding global platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level accounting degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting/Audit.
• Experience with group consolidations and IFRS areas such as IFRS 16 and share-based payments desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day accounting and financial reporting services for client accounts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Own key accounting processes and entity reporting within the group.
• Ensure data controls and compliance with local law, GAAP/IFRS.
