Placements24 is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Gauteng finance team in Midrand. You will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accuracy of financial records and contribute to strategic planning in a dynamic environment. The role offers exposure to IFRS reporting, budgeting, and collaboration across departments.

You will lead a small team, implement process improvements and support growth objectives while working in a hybrid model with client-facing and internal collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; SAIPA/SAICA articles preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with IFRS knowledge.
• Proficiency in SAP, QuickBooks, Sage and advanced Excel; strong analytical abilities.

Responsabilités

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely processing and reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports per IFRS.
• Conduct variance analysis, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting; provide financial data to support decisions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
