Job summary

Network Recruitment has a 6-month contract for a hands-on Senior Accountant who will own the full finance function and contribute to group reporting, consolidations, and financial control. This role supports the mining, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.

The ideal candidate holds a BCom Accounting degree, SAICA/SAIPA articles are advantageous, and brings 5+ years in a senior accountant role with strong experience in group accounting and mentoring junior staff.

This is an exciting 6 Month Contract opportunity for a hands-on Senior Accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys being involved in both the operational and strategic aspects of finance. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full finance function while playing a key role in group reporting, consolidations, financial control, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities: Manage the full finance function across the business. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements. Perform group reporting and consolidations across multiple entities. Oversee month-end and year-end reporting processes. Manage balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger controls. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting. Coordinate internal and external audit requirements. Lead, mentor, and support junior finance team members.

Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: BCom Accounting Degree qualification. Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles will be advantageous. Experience: 5+ years' experience in a Senior Accountant role. Proven experience managing the full finance function. Strong group accounting and consolidation experience is essential. Previous experience leading and mentoring junior finance staff. Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment. Candidates who are immediately available or whose contracts are nearing completion will receive preference.
