Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Deep understanding of South African accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory requirements.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
