An established professional services environment is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team in Bellville.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial and management reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

The role offers exposure to a diverse client base and industries and would suit an experienced accounting professional who is confident working independently, managing deadlines and providing accurate financial information to support business decision-making.

Salary: R35 000 – R40 000 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with the preparation and review of annual financial statements.
• Perform and review balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Analyse financial information and provide meaningful insights to management.
• Manage month-end accounting processes and reporting.
• Monitor and maintain accounting controls and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Proven experience in a Financial Accountant, Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Solid experience with reconciliations, month-end processes and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting systems experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
