Job summary

Staff Solutions Recruitment is seeking a Contract Security Supervisor to assist on-site with administration and staff oversight in Gqeberha. The role covers interviewing new staff, rostering, inductions, vetting, and compliance with HSA and security procedures.

The candidate should have at least 5 years of security supervisory experience, PSIRA Grade A, and relevant training, with strong communication and a valid driver’s licence. Knowledge of LDS and cargo security is preferred.

Qualifications

• PSIRA Grade A certification is mandatory.
• Air Cargo Security Training Cat 6 required.
• DGD training completed.
• Grade 12 certificate required.
• Security Management Diploma or study towards preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of security supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication skills and a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist Omega senior staff onsite with administration.
• Interview new staff prior to posting at HSA.
• Oversee duty rosters and ensure posts are covered.
• Manage inductions, vetting, and screenings for contractors.
• Coordinate known consignor training and audits.
• Support afterhours security callouts and incident reviews.

Duties:

Contract Security Responsibilities:

Ensure Omega staff is functional (assist Omega senior staff onsite with administration) Assist Officials with information where applicable Interview all new staff prior posting at HSA Ensure that Contract Security Duty Rosters are in place and executed as planned (oversee) Ensure that all posts are covered with knowledgeable persons HSA Routine Tasks

Arrange Lockers Searches Book HSA Pre Employment Polygraphs and Screenings Manage Security inductions, Vetting, and Screenings of all Contractors Reviewing of LDS entries (Female) Manage bookings of Routine polygraphs and screening. Issuing of LDS Security clothing. Keeping records of all Security reports Assist with Surveillance playbacks of incidents Training evaluation of LDS expertise Oversee Airlock searches by Contract Security members Monthly Security Door Inspections & Weekly panic inspections Charter Movements

Cargo Security check prior charter collection Oversee and attend incoming/outgoing shipment events on charter dates. Ensure that PM movement procedures are met (SOP) by Service Provider (Brinks) Report all irregularities to the HSA Security Manager Known Consignor

Known Consignor administration (PE & BB) update Manual Update Heli Landing Zone Manual when needed Ensure that all training and documents are relevant for CAA audits. Arrange Known Consignor related training of HA staff and Service providers Ensure Legal Compliance w.r.t. Airport access General

Assist Security Manager with overall Security operations. Available for afterhours HSA call outs due to system breakdowns or when required Assist with LDS training & Evaluation of Contract Security Control of keys for critical areas
