Job summary

SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Security Inspector to join the Security team. The successful applicant will supervise security staff, oversee posting of personnel, and ensure security equipment is maintained and operated effectively.

You will report to the Security Manager, conduct site inspections, perform risk assessments, handle on-site incidents, and support operations while enforcing company policies and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in security or safety.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Strong discipline and adherence to policies.
• Sober, reliable and physically capable, with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise security employees and manage postings.
• Post personnel daily and ensure shifts run smoothly.
• Maintain and operate security equipment.
• Conduct site inspections and implement preventative measures.
• Investigate incidents and report findings to Security Operations Manager.
• Support security operations and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
