Job summary

Discovery Limited is seeking a Security DevOps Specialist in Sandton to design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating security across the software lifecycle. You will automate security tooling, manage container security, and implement cloud security controls with AWS, Azure and GCP.

You will collaborate with development teams, contribute to secure coding practices, and ensure adherence to compliance and audit requirements.

Qualifications

5+ years senior DevOps experience in an information security context.
Proficient with Python and Bash scripting for automation.
Experience with container platforms and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Knowledge of security-as-code and secure SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls.
Implement security-as-code and automate policy enforcement.
Collaborate with development teams to embed security testing in the SDLC.
Manage container security including image scanning and Kubernetes policies.
Configure secrets management and secure credential handling.
Develop infrastructure-as-code templates with embedded security controls.
Monitor security alerts from automated scanners and respond to incidents.
Conduct security reviews of code and infrastructure configurations.
Create security documentation and operational procedures and provide training.
Ensure cloud security controls across AWS, Azure and GCP environments.
Maintain compliance with security frameworks and audit requirements.
