Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA, is seeking a proactive Security Awareness and Training Specialist to foster a security-conscious culture by developing and managing comprehensive awareness programs. You will create engaging training materials, conduct sessions, and measure effectiveness to reduce organizational risk.

Collaborating with HR and IT, you will embed security into onboarding and policies, organize events, and promote a strong security culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in developing and delivering security awareness training.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats (phishing, social engineering, malware).
• Experience with creating engaging training content and using LMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging security awareness training programs for all employees.
• Create a variety of training materials, including presentations, videos, newsletters, and interactive modules.
• Plan and execute simulated phishing campaigns to test and reinforce employee awareness.
• Analyze training effectiveness metrics and report on program performance to management.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends relevant to employee awareness.
• Manage the security awareness training platform and content library.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to integrate security awareness into company policies and onboarding processes.
• Organize and promote security-related events and initiatives.
• Develop communication strategies to promote a strong security culture.
• Ensure training content is relevant, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.
