Placements24 is seeking a skilled Security Architect in Bloemfontein to design and implement robust security solutions for IT infrastructure, applications, and data. You will translate security requirements into scalable architectural designs ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability.

The role requires 5+ years in information security with a focus on security architecture, plus knowledge of IAM, data protection, cryptography, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture.
• Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience in designing security solutions for networks, applications, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of security controls related to identity and access management, data protection, and cryptography.
• Proficiency in diagramming tools and documenting complex technical architectures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF, or GIAC certifications are advantageous.
• Experience working in the Free State province or for organizations with similar operational footprints.
