Job summary

Anglo American's Mining division seeks a Section Manager Load & Haul to lead safety‑driven mining operations in Kathu, Northern Cape. You will drive weekly plans, manage equipment utilisation, and enforce regulatory guidelines to achieve targets while steering cost control and team development.

The role requires 6–8 years in mining with supervisory experience, strong geotechnical knowledge, and a formal mining qualification. A3 safety and blasting certifications enhance prospects.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent SAQA qualification.
• Relevant degree in Mining.
• Mining Manager’s Certificate of Competence required.
• Open Cast Blasting Certificate preferred.
• Valid SA Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute weekly and monthly plans to achieve quality and volume requirements.
• Maintain resource and equipment utilisation and financial requirements.
• Implement and oversee guidelines and legislation for the mining value chain.
• Assist with the compilation of the annual budget and cost control.
• Develop and manage the section's personnel to competency standards.
