Job summary

Sasol is seeking a Section Engineer to coordinate maintenance resources and personnel for the mining area, ensuring production machines are available to sustain continuous output and meet targets at the lowest possible cost. The incumbent holds a Mining GCC and applies the law with knowledge and skill to interpret and enforce regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

National Senior Certificate with Mathematics and Science.
Mining Government Certificate of Competence (GCC).
Experience in maintenance coordination for mining operations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate maintenance resources and personnel to ensure available production equipment.
Implement maintenance strategies and overhaul plans to optimise asset cost.
Assess economics of engineering initiatives and support cost control within budget.
Monitor condition monitoring programs and drive predictive maintenance actions.
Support production targets with efficient planning and resource allocation.
Control costs and prepare reporting on budget versus actuals.
