Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Surgical Assistance
- Prepare implants and handle instrumentation during orthopaedic procedures
- Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a sterile field and follow aseptic protocols
Patient Care
- Assist surgeon pre-operatively without handling patient
- Monitor accounts admin and document usages post operative
- Safely handle and account for Meril instrumentation in theatre environment to and from the OR
- Ensure sterility and maintenace of surgical instruments, equipment and implants.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure readiness for procedures
- Coordinate with the surgical team on equipment needs
Equipment Management
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure readiness for procedures
- Coordinate with the surgical team on equipment needs
Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and surgical assistants
- Contribute to a professional and respectful Theatre environment
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred
- Strong knowledge of orthopaedic procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Proficient in sterile technique and aseptic practices
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work under pressure
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient movement
- Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards
