Stethoscope SA is seeking a Registered Nurse to render cost-effective, safe, quality patient care per hospital standards. The role includes assessment, planning, execution, and supervision of care to meet patient needs, while acting as a role model in evidence-based practice.

The nurse will participate in Clinical Governance, ensure proper documentation, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain high patient safety and infection control standards.

Formación

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
• Enrolled Nurse qualification.
• Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Minimum of 5 years as registered Nurse.
• Scrub nursing experience.
• Floor nurse and Anaesthetic experience.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety.
• Extensive knowledge of modern nursing care principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Infection Control & Prevention.
• To demonstrate an understanding of the surgical procedure by anticipating the needs of the multi-disciplinary team members

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to the holistic care of patients.
• Maintain aseptic technique when opening packs and consumables.
• Help control costs through safe, economical use of supplies and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
• Promote good public relations with patients, relatives, and visitors.
• Ensure evidence-based nursing care.
• Ensure each patient has an appropriate nursing care plan.
• Communicate with Health Care Practitioners about health status changes.
• Comply with documentation policy.
• Ensure stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited.
• Maintain a safe working environment per regulations.
• Assume responsibility for personal and professional development.
• Maintain competence in CPR/BLS/Anesthetic refreshers.
• Project a positive professional image.
• Promote good working relationships with management, colleagues, and doctors.
