Job summary

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
• Diploma in General Nursing.
• Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Minimum of 5 years as an experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Post-operative and surgical experience.
• Knowledge of Infection Control & Prevention.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety.
• Ability to communicate, be a skilled listener and a keen observer.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, execute and supervise the implementation of care.
• Provide direct and/or indirect nursing care to patients or groups of patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean and medico-legal compliant environment.
• Assist in recovery room and operating theatre procedures.
