Job Title: SCM Manager (Pretoria)

Our client in the Arts and Culture sector is looking for a Supply Chain Manager. The candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop SCM policy, the purpose is to ensure compliance with the National Treasure Act, PFMA and other practice notes
• Establish and implement processes and procedures for procuring goods and services. This is to ensure that internal controls are in place and adhered to.
• Make sure that irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure is avoided
• Manage the organisation's Tendering and RFQ processes, by ensuring that bid committees are established to ensure compliance with PFMA and National Treasury Regulations.
• Managing the supplier's contracts by ensuring that long-term contracts are entered info for continuous supply and provision of service.
• Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure good value and reliable services. Maintain good relationships with the suppliers.
• Provide leadership to the SCM department staff to ensure that there's proper planning, work is properly coordinated.

• Ensure segregation of duties among staff members.

Preferred Minimum Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Finance or Public Admin
