Job Title: SCM Manager (Pretoria)
Our client in the Arts and Culture sector is looking for a Supply Chain Manager. The candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop SCM policy, the purpose is to ensure compliance with the National Treasure Act, PFMA and other practice notes
- Establish and implement processes and procedures for procuring goods and services. This is to ensure that internal controls are in place and adhered to.
- Make sure that irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure is avoided
- Manage the organisation's Tendering and RFQ processes, by ensuring that bid committees are established to ensure compliance with PFMA and National Treasury Regulations.
- Managing the supplier's contracts by ensuring that long-term contracts are entered info for continuous supply and provision of service.
- Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure good value and reliable services. Maintain good relationships with the suppliers.
- Provide leadership to the SCM department staff to ensure that there's proper planning, work is properly coordinated.

- Ensure segregation of duties among staff members.
- Ensure that staff is capacitated by providing training
Preferred Minimum Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Finance or Public Admin
Minimum Experience Required
- 8 Years' experience, 3 years should be in Management
