Job summary

Curro Serengeti in Kempton Park seeks a full-time Bursar to commence duties in January 2027. The role involves day-to-day financial management, budgeting, and reporting under the executive head and regional accountant.

Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree (preferably accounting) with five years of relevant experience in finance, payroll, and contract management. EE candidates have preference.

Qualifications

• At least a B degree or equivalent (three years), preferably with a major in accounting.
• Five years' relevant experience where such experience includes: financial role or bursar.
• Experience in accounting, cash flow management, debtors' management and contract management (financial element).
• Experience in administration and payroll management.
• Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the finances of the school under the direction of the executive head and regional accountant
• Managing of budgets
• Monitoring of all income and expenditure relating to internal budgets
• Preparing of financial reports for the executive head
• Assist at school functions when required
