Job summary

Snatch | Accounting & Finance Headhunters is seeking a Bookkeeper for a growing education group in Paarl. You will own the school’s day-to-day finances, from fee invoicing to payments, and report to the School Principal and central Accountant.

This on-site role requires 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, strong Excel and accounting systems proficiency, and reliable transport. Salary ranges from R17,000 to R25,000 CTC per month depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• ICB certification or National Diploma in Financial Accounting with 5+ years of solid bookkeeping experience.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume bank reconciliations, creditors, and debtors using advanced MS Excel and accounting systems.
• Must have your own reliable transport and be comfortable working fully on-site.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of school fee collections, including invoicing, receipting, debtor management, and handling parent queries.
• Perform high-volume bank reconciliations and manage all accounts payable and general fund payments.
• Assist with flash reporting, cash flow monitoring, and assist with budget tracking.
• Provide reliable financial and administrative support to the School Principal to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain strict compliance with financial policies, audit requirements, and data confidentiality standards.
