Job summary

SMYN Online Radio seeks a DBE Learner Support Agent (LSA) to provide psychosocial and structural support to vulnerable learners at primary and secondary schools. The LSA will assist in implementing programmes related to HIV/AIDS Life Skills Education initiatives.

The ideal candidate will help with academic support, emotional wellness, and community engagement efforts, collaborating closely with educators and other stakeholders. Qualifications include a Grade 12 certificate and relevant community development training.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate required.
• Recognised Certificate or Diploma in Community Development or Social Auxiliary Work essential.
• Valid Police Clearance Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and psychosocial support to vulnerable learners.
• Support academic development by assisting learners with homework.
• Facilitate peer education programmes in schools and safe spaces.
• Compile and submit reports to the school principal and LSA supervisor.
