Job summary

PwC Careers Africa is seeking a Senior Integration Business Analyst to join the South African Technology & Innovation Centre. Based in Johannesburg or Cape Town, the role offers a hybrid in-office model and responsibilities spanning integration strategy, backlog shaping with Product Owners, and sprint-ready deliverables.

You will collaborate with business, technology, and testing teams to ensure high-quality InsureTech solutions and support talent development within the practice.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on the insurance industry.
• Experience with core insurance platforms such as Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Duck Creek Technologies, Sapiens, tia, EIS Group, Majesco, and FINEOS.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, or related field.
• Business Analysis Certification (IIBA Certified Business Analyst or equivalent) - preferred.
• Relevant Platform Certification - required within first 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration strategy, scope definition, and delivery across complex technology programmes.
• Partner with Product Owners to shape, prioritize, and refine product backlogs aligned to business objectives.
• Translate business needs into actionable requirements, user stories, and sprint-ready deliverables.
• Drive integration delivery by monitoring progress, managing priorities, removing blockers, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and testing teams to ensure high-quality solutions and successful delivery.
• Support Agile delivery through sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to proofs of concepts and strategic opportunities for business growth and innovation.
• Mentor junior team members through coaching, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Support talent development, recruitment, and capability building within the practice.

The Senior Integration Business Analyst can be based out of Johannesburg or Cape Town on a hybrid in-office model.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for participating in business requirements review meetings and working with the Product Owner to ensure that requirements for InsureTech projects are captured as user stories that are prioritized and in a ready state. The development team must be able to determine what needs to be done and the amount of work required to complete the story.

Requirements:

Experience & Track Record:

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on the insurance industry
• Experience with core insurance platforms such as Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Duck Creek Technologies, Sapiens, tia, EIS Group, Majesco, and FINEOS
• Proven track record in business analysis within technology delivery environments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, or related field
• Business Analysis Certification (IIBA Certified Business Analyst or equivalent) - preferred
• Relevant Platform Certification - Candidates who do not hold the required approved certification when joining must obtain it within the first 12 months of employment.
