Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking a Lean Six Sigma Senior Associate for our South Africa Delivery Centre. You will join a team of problem solvers addressing complex issues from strategy to execution.

We require 4–6 years in Insurance/Financial Services, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and strong problem-solving and client-facing abilities to drive transformation with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 7 or above (ZA) is required.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required.
• 4-6 years’ experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
• Experience working with clients and driving transformation initiatives.
• Insurance industry experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process mapping and reengineering to identify improvements.
• Lead and manage process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and adoption.
• Improve controls in processes to ensure quality.
• Provide guidance to project teams on Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and drive transformation.
• Utilize insurance/financial services knowledge to inform recommendations.

As a Lean Six Sigma Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Qualifications /Certifications required:

• NQF Level 7 or above (ZA)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification Green Belt required, Black Belt would be highly valuable

Experience required:

• 4 - 6 years’ experience in an Insurance or Financial Services environment is essential
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
• Experience working with clients and driving transformation initiatives.
• Industry experience in Insurance is essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of role:

• Conduct process mapping and reengineering activities to identify areas for improvement and develop streamlined processes.
• Lead and manage process improvement projects, utilising Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce defects, and improve overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption.
• Experience in understanding and improving controls in a process to ensure quality.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring adherence to Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions to drive transformation and achieve desired outcomes.
• Utilise industry knowledge and experience in Insurance or financial services to provide insights and recommendations for process improvement initiatives

The successful candidates will be required to work the standard office hours of the UK office. During the training period, attendance in the office will be required on a daily basis. Following the completion of training, candidates will transition to a hybrid working model.
