Edge Executive Search Group is seeking a Business Analyst (Sales and Distribution) to support and optimise SAP SD functionality. You will work with business stakeholders, IT teams and external consultants to document requirements and drive improvements across the sales and distribution processes.

The role involves user training, testing, reporting and ensuring compliance while delivering measurable benefits across a national logistics client base in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, BCom or related field.
• 1–2 years experience in a relevant function or IT environment.
• Strong end-user knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD).
• Ability to analyse business processes and document requirements.
• Experience gathering and validating business requirements.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications and process flows.
• Exposure to system enhancements, testing and projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, planning and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP SD end-user support within SLAs.
• Investigate system issues and coordinate with specialists.
• Deliver system training and support adoption of new functionality.
• Develop and maintain training manuals and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve SAP functionality and processes.
• Contribute to business cases and ROI calculations.
• Gather and document business requirements for enhancements.
• Prepare scope, functional specs and process diagrams.
• Coordinate implementation activities with developers and IT teams.
• Review technical specs to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Coordinate testing and support UAT.
• Monitor deliverables and outcomes.
• Provide post-implementation support.
• Assist with SAP user profiles and access requests.
• Conduct system compliance audits and identify risks.
• Develop and enhance SAP SD reports.
• Apply SAP best practices to improve performance.
