Job summary

Salt is seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud Planning Architect to lead end-to-end SAC planning architecture across FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, workforce, CAPEX, sales and operational planning. You will work directly with CFOs and senior stakeholders, owning architecture across complex environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) experience.
• 4+ years of SAP Analytics Cloud Planning implementation experience.
• Multiple end-to-end SAC Planning project deliveries as lead architect.
• Deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Proven experience designing integrations across the SAP ecosystem and non-SAP platforms.

SAP SAC Planning Architect | Contract | Johannesburg

About the Role

A global digital consulting firm is looking for an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud Planning Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide planning and performance management solutions across their client base. This is a senior, client-facing architecture role that combines deep technical leadership with executive-level advisory capability. You'll take end-to-end ownership of SAC Planning architecture across FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, workforce, CAPEX, sales, and operational planning, working directly with CFOs, Finance Directors, and senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor. Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

• Define end-to-end SAC Planning solution architecture across complex, enterprise-scale environments
• Design multi-model planning architectures covering FP&A, budgeting, rolling forecasting, workforce planning, CAPEX, sales, and operational planning
• Establish planning design standards, governance frameworks, and performance optimisation guidelines
• Develop planning roadmaps aligned to client business strategy

Client Advisory

• Act as trusted advisor to CFOs, Finance Directors, and Executive stakeholders
• Facilitate planning strategy workshops and lead requirements gathering and solution design sessions
• Challenge existing planning processes and present architecture decisions at senior level
• Support pre-sales and business development activities

Delivery Leadership

• Lead SAC Planning implementations from design through to deployment and hypercare
• Oversee consultants and development teams, reviewing model designs and calculations
• Manage architecture risks and ensure adherence to SAP best practices throughout delivery
• Support UAT, deployment, and post-go-live activities

Integration Architecture Design

• Design integration strategies across SAP S/4HANA, Datasphere, BW/4HANA, BW, ECC, HANA, and non-SAP platforms
• Design data acquisition, import processes, live connectivity, data actions, and process automation

Technical Leadership

• Define modelling standards and conduct architecture reviews
• Lead troubleshooting and solution optimisation
• Mentor and develop consultants and team members

Requirements

• 7+ years of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) experience
• 4+ years of SAP Analytics Cloud Planning implementation experience
• Multiple end-to-end SAC Planning project deliveries as lead architect
• Deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes
