Job summary

Salt is seeking an Intermediate SAP Analytics Cloud Consultant to join their Johannesburg SAC practice. You will design, configure, and deliver SAC Planning solutions across budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and financial performance management, working hands-on with clients and senior architects.

Responsibilities include end-to-end SAC Planning implementations, gathering requirements, building planning models, developing dashboards, performing testing, and providing post go-live

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in SAP Analytics and Planning solutions.
• 2-4 years of hands-on SAC Planning experience.
• Participation in at least 2-3 end-to-end SAC Planning implementations.
• Hands-on experience with SAC Planning model building, story development, data actions, advanced formulas, and planning workflows.
• Strong understanding of financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, cost centre planning, and management reporting.
• Exposure to SAP integration landscape (Datasphere, BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, HANA).
• Advantageous Consulting environment experience.
• Exposure to SAP Datasphere.
• Experience with financial planning transformations.
• Multi-country or large enterprise environment experience.
• Predictive Planning experience.

• Support solution design workshops and client engagement activities.

• Develop and maintain planning models, dimensions, hierarchies, measures, data actions, advanced formulas, allocations, currency conversion, data locking, calendar processes, value driver trees, and input schedules.
• Build planning-focused dashboards, executive reporting solutions, and KPI monitoring outputs.
• Support variance analysis and planning insights.
• Prepare test scenarios and scripts, perform unit and system testing, and support UAT.
• Troubleshoot and resolve planning model issues before deployment.
• Participate in workshops, provide solution demonstrations, conduct end-user training, and support change-management activities.
• Build strong client relationships throughout project delivery.
• Provide post-implementation support, investigate issues, and recommend continuous improvements.

About the Role

A global digital consulting firm is looking for an Intermediate SAP Analytics Cloud Consultant to join their growing SAC practice. You'll work directly with clients to design, configure, and deliver SAC Planning solutions across budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and financial performance management. This is a hands‑on delivery role with real client exposure. You'll contribute independently to project workstreams, participate in workshops, and build planning models that drive meaningful business decisions, working under the guidance of senior consultants and solution architects. Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Delivery

• Participate in end-to-end SAC Planning implementations
• Gather and document business requirements, translating them into scalable planning solutions
• Configure SAC Planning models and planning applications in line with SAP best practices

Planning Model Development
