Job summary

Inspired Testing is seeking a Test Data & Environment Management specialist to support an SAP S/4HANA migration, ensuring QA teams have access to optimal test environments and data.

You will coordinate with QA, SAP functional and technical teams, environment owners and other delivery stakeholders to proactively manage environment and data requirements, dependencies and blockers, enabling timely delivery across the Finance scope and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating test data and environments in complex enterprise programs.
• Solid understanding of SAP landscapes and S/4HANA contexts.
• Experience supporting migration or large-scale implementation programs.
• Ability to coordinate across QA, business, infra, SAP teams to resolve dependencies.
• UiPath experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job description

We are seeking a Test Data & Environment Management resource to support our client's SAP S/4HANA migration. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that QA teams have access to the correct test environments and appropriate test data to execute testing effectively throughout the migration.

The successful resource will coordinate closely with QA, SAP functional and technical teams, environment owners and other delivery stakeholders to proactively manage environment and data requirements, dependencies and blockers.

The role requires strong organisation, ownership and an understanding of how test data and environment readiness influence SAP testing and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage test environment requirements supporting the SAP S/4HANA migration and associated QA activities.
• Ensure the appropriate environments are available, accessible and ready for planned testing activities.
• Coordinate test data requirements with QA, business, SAP functional and technical teams to ensure suitable data is available when required.
• Support the preparation, refresh, validation and maintenance of test data required for relevant test scenarios.
• Track environment readiness, access, configuration, test data dependencies and blockers, escalating issues early where they may impact delivery.
• Maintain visibility of environment usage, planned test activities and competing demands to help minimise disruption and scheduling conflicts.
• Work with relevant technical teams to coordinate environment changes, deployments, refreshes and other activities that could affect testing.
• Support QA teams in investigating environment- or data-related test failures and distinguish these from application defects where possible.
• Help establish clear processes and governance for requesting, preparing and managing test data and environments across the migration.
• Document key environment configurations, dependencies, test data requirements and readiness information to support repeatable QA execution.
• Contribute to future migration phases and additional SAP modules as the programme expands beyond the initial Finance scope.

Required Experience & Skills

• Practical experience managing or coordinating test data and test environments within complex enterprise delivery programmes.
• Good understanding of SAP landscapes and the role of environments and test data across SAP testing activities.
• Experience supporting SAP transformation, migration or large-scale implementation programmes is highly desirable; S/4HANA experience would be a strong advantage.
• Understanding of test data preparation, refresh, validation, masking or related data-management considerations within controlled test environments.
• Ability to coordinate across QA, business, infrastructure, SAP functional and technical teams to resolve environment and data dependencies.
• Strong planning, tracking and issue-management capability, with a focus on preventing environment or data constraints from delaying testing.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly for identifying whether failures are related to data, configuration, environment or application behaviour.
• Cross-module SAP exposure is beneficial as the migration progresses into additional functional areas.
• UiPath experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Comfortable working remotely and able to attend onsite sessions on an ad hoc basis where practical and beneficial.

Engagement Requirements

• Estimated availability to start during November 2026.
• Ability to attend occasional onsite sessions would be beneficial.
• The resource should be able to establish strong working relationships with QA, SAP and environment stakeholders and proactively support test readiness.
