Job summary

Penta Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Migration Project Manager to join a major global SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. You will lead data migration activities across SAP ecosystems, ensuring data integrity, reconciliation, and business sign-off throughout the journey.

• 10+ years of project delivery experience within enterprise transformation programmes.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP data migration experience, including end-to-end migration planning and execution.
• Experience managing complex global migration cycles across multiple regions and stakeholder groups.
• Strong background in data reconciliation, governance and business ownership models.

Responsibilities

• Lead and govern data migration activities across the SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.
• Act as the customer-side migration lead, supporting vendor-led Core SAP S/4HANA migration delivery.
• Ensure migration activities meet programme timelines, quality standards, governance requirements, and business expectations.
• Develop and maintain migration strategies, object inventories, governance frameworks, wave plans, and integrated schedules.
• Coordinate data profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, extraction, loading, and validation activities.
• Manage end-to-end migration cycles including mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover migrations, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Establish reconciliation controls, acceptance criteria, defect management processes, and business sign-off procedures.
• Drive data quality and cleansing initiatives in collaboration with Finance, Procurement, HR, and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate migration activities across interconnected systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, GIMMAL, SharePoint.

About the Opportunity

This role will be responsible for leading and governing data migration activities across the SAP ecosystem, ensuring successful delivery, data integrity, reconciliation, and business sign-off throughout the transformation journey.

Working within a large-scale programme environment, you will act as the customer-side lead, partnering closely with vendor migration teams and business stakeholders to drive migration readiness, data quality, governance, and cutover execution.

This is a high-visibility role requiring strong SAP migration expertise, stakeholder management skills, and experience delivering complex global ERP transformation programmes.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP data migration experience, including end-to-end migration planning and execution.


• Experience managing complex global migration cycles across multiple regions and stakeholder groups.


• Strong background in financial data reconciliation, governance, and business ownership models.


• Experience working with enterprise migration toolsets and/or custom migration frameworks.


• Track record of managing vendor-led delivery teams and third-party partners.
