Job summary

Sanlam is seeking a SAP FI/R2R specialist to deliver system configuration, testing, and support across General Ledger, intercompany reconciliation, and closing processes in a full-time capacity in Cape Town.

You will engage with Finance and SAP CoE teams, focusing on cross-module integration, process improvement, and documenting functional specs and test evidence for ongoing SAP delivery.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on SAP FI/R2R and S/4HANA configuration and support.
• Experience with GL maintenance, period-end close, intercompany reconciliation, and reporting.
• Familiar with cross-module integration touching GL, CO, AR/AP, and asset accounting.
• Ability to write functional specs, document tests, and ensure process adherence.
• Strong client focus and ability to operate in a BAU Run environment using JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP S/4HANA FI-GL, R2R, and intercompany processes.
• Maintain intercompany reconciliation setups and cross-entity eliminations.
• Support financial closing, rollups, and balance sheet integrity.
• Coordinate with AP/AR/CO and asset accounting touchpoints for GL postings.
• Prepare documentation, test evidence, and functional specs; drive improvements.
