Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment seeks an experienced SAP S/4HANA FI / R2R Functional Specialist to provide hands-on configuration, testing and process improvement across GL, R2R, intercompany reconciliation and closing.

You will configure FI-GL, support month-end close, and enable cross-entity postings. The role requires 3-6 years of SAP FI/R2R knowledge and BAU support with JIRA/Solution Manager; MDG and ICMR experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Financial Management, Information Systems/IT or equivalent.
• 3-6 years' experience in SAP FI, R2R, General Ledger or related functional roles.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA FI configuration and support experience.
• Strong knowledge of FI-GL, R2R, financial close and intercompany processes.
• Experience with MDG and GL/Intercompany master data dependencies.
• Functional specification, testing and documentation experience.
• Experience working in a BAU support environment using JIRA and Solution Manager.
• Advantageous SAP FI/S/4HANA certification.
• SAP Closing Cockpit or SAP Intercompany Matching & Reconciliation (ICMR) experience.
• Exposure to SAP Joule, SAP Business AI or AI-assisted SAP delivery.
• Experience with automated financial closing or intercompany matching solutions.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP S/4HANA FI-GL and R2R processes.
• Manage GL structures, journal processing, chart of accounts and financial closing.
• Support intercompany reconciliation, matching and cross-entity postings.
• Configure and support GL rollups, ledger summarisation and Financial Statement Versions (FSV).
• Support integration across AP, AR, Asset Accounting and CO.
• Resolve incidents through JIRA, including root-cause analysis and configuration fixes.
• Prepare functional specifications, testing documentation and UAT support.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation.
• Support business users, workshops, training and knowledge transfer.
• Assist with change delivery, transports and post-implementation stabilisation.
