Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Technician to join our operations in Midrand. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining high hygiene standards across facilities and ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors.

You will work as part of a team and apply best practices with modern cleaning equipment. The ideal candidate has janitorial experience, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and the stamina to stand, lift and bend.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial or sanitation in commercial/industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety data sheets and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning machines safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation in restrooms, common areas and workspaces.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers and pressure washers.
• Safely handle and dispose of waste and recyclables per procedures.
• Restock toiletries, paper products and cleaning agents as needed.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies to maintain cleanliness and safety.
