Job summary

Ackermans is hiring a Sample Shop Assistant at the Ackermans Support Centre in Kuilsriver. You will support daily in-store operations and help deliver a great shopping experience, reporting to the Shop Supervisor.

The role requires a Grade 12 certificate, with experience in clothing/textile retail preferred. You will work on-site with a focus on customer service, stock handling, and maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Process card payments at the cashier and assist with staff accounts where needed.
• Assist with merchandising, stock checks, price accuracy, and attractive displays.
• Maintain general housekeeping, keep walkways clear, and ensure stock is neatly arranged.
• Be alert to suspicious activity and report to Supervisor with accurate details.
• Perform ad hoc duties as instructed by the Sample Shop Supervisor.
